Yesterday I decided to take a photo walk in Soho with my Fujifilm X-E4 and a new (old) lens I had just received, the Soviet-made Helios 44-2. Being fully manual, getting a good focus isn’t easy, even with Fuji’s focus assist. The Helios 44-2;

“While this lens has decent sharpness and stunning bokeh, it flares excessively compared to many modern lenses and is prone to spherical aberrations.”

The photos below are just some of the 300+ made; I shoot jpeg and RAW. On closer inspection, I noticed quite a bit of flare in the highlights, something I like as it gives a more ‘Film’ look. The bokeh looks excellent.
