Memento Mori
I mentioned in my previous post that I journal daily (We’ll see how long that lasts). And given that my journal is private, I might start putting down random thoughts here.
Not daily, just when I remember to.
Last night I looked up at the stars, trying to sleep though sleep escaped me. Still, I looked up at the stars, and once again, I was reminded of how small we were. How insignificant we are. If the earth didn’t exist, the Universe wouldn’t know.
If your employer is more concerned about your time and you spend it working and making money, they don’t have time for your health. After being promised a pay increase, I was told once that if I wanted more money, I should work more hours. I quit that job because finding a new boss is as easy as my boss once finding a new slave.
You might be reading this on your phone? Here’s the thing, your phone is nothing more than a tool. And like a hammer, you have control over your phone; it is nothing without you. You control it; it does not control you. Make it so you put your phone down and look out the window. Regain your mental health. Hammers, don’t poke and scream at you get get your attention.
