On this day I… That Wisdom Pearl is Missing

So, no pearls of wisdom from Greene, Pressfield, Deida or Holiday today. It's just me and my brain trying to figure out what to post. Then it hit me like a 1.8kg slab of beef.

Or rather;

  • One Beef Flat Rib weighing in at .578kg

  • One Prime Rib weighing in at 1.262kg

I’ve been meaning to visit my local butcher for a while now. Today seems as good a time as any, as I walk past it every day. Though it’s usually closed, not today because I was running a little late, it had just opened as I walked by.

I had a nice chat with the guy serving me and what Paddywhack was.

“knick knack paddywhack give a dog a bone.”

Until this morning I never knew what paddywhack was.

Anyway, with 1.8kg of beef and 360g of protein, it’s enough for three days.

Since I started on a more carnivore diet I’ve never had high-quality meat before. Now that I think about it I don’t think I’ve EVER had high-quality meat before, could never afford it.

At £60 it’s not something I'd do every day, or even once a week for that matter, but once a month, sure, I could do that. And I just might.

I’ve cut the Prime Rib in two. Today’s lunch will be 634g of beef. 128.6g of high-quality protein. That puts me 31.4g short of my daily goal. But three eggs will do the trick. Or two chicken breasts.

A quick one today folk.
