On this day I…

So yeah. It’s my birthday.

Let’s talk about that.

First, I don’t celebrate my birthday. I haven’t since I was 17 or 18. I just kinda grow out of it. Didn’t see the point of it. I was born on this day in 1977, okay…

What now?

Of course, some people hear that and just call me grumpy, or a curmudgeon, (At christmas I’m also called a Grinch), because they LOVE LOVE LOVE their birthday (and christmas).

So they project: “If I love my birthday, he should love his. So if he doesn’t he’s a miserable sod.

I usually just shrug it off. I’m used to it by now. Shouldn’t I be the one to decide whether or not I celebrate it or not? I mean, I’m not married and don’t have any kids… So why celebrate?

Of course, if I had a wife and kids things would be different. Like the previous post (July 15th) I had fun and danced and made a fool of myself, for their benefit, not mine. It made them happy, not me.

So, yeah, I think if I was married with children I would start to celebrate my birthday. For them.

It’s my birthday and I’ll cry if I want too” - Madonna.

Not much more to say on the subject.

I did buy myself a Drone, though. I might not celebrate it, but I do treat myself. I’m old, not dead.

I’m a Professional Photographer who dabbles in Writing and Documentary Film Making.

I’ve recently quit my job of three and a half years as a Bartender/Manager. Photography began as a hobby and quickly became a passion.

I’m a Professional Photographer, Filmmaker, Writer/Author and this website is where I’m going to document all of it. The good, the bad and the ugly.
